I think back to my first week of college, when I first saw the alt.news table set up at the RSO fair, and I am so grateful that I was curious enough to check out that first meeting. Without alt.news, I would have never discovered the passion I now have for television and film. I have learned so much about production, editing, graphics, team work and delegation that I feel as if I am getting real world experiences while still in school. The opportunities – in which we are so lucky to have offered to us – drive us as a student group to produce the best content we can. The crew and staff members have become my family away from home. It’s so exciting to meet a group of people that share the same amount of dedication and ambition for the show as you do. I wouldn’t be where I am today without alt.news and I can’t get where I’d like to go without it either. I am unbelievably thankful for the time I’ve spent in alt.news. I was on crew for a few productions my freshman year, staff member my sophomore year, and Executive Producer this year. I graduate in May 2013, and I plan on producing and editing as many different projects as I can.
