I am currently a senior at SIUC majoring in cinema, and have been an alt.news staff member for two years. I was born and raised in Park Ridge, Illinois, but I tell everyone I’m just from Chicago. The very first thing I remember liking more than vegetables and math is film, and my fascination with the medium has grown as I have. Always knowing that I wanted to pursue a career in cinema, I decided to attend Southern Illinois University, and I joined alt.news 26:46 my sophomore year and began working on as many shoots as possible. I have produced the short film trailer for Guilt: The Sequel to Doubt and the music segment Trampled by Turtles. I also produced the 7th alt.news short film We Are Dinosaurs. Being in alt.news has given me many opportunities from gaining crucial knowledge outside of the classroom and I even got to go to California for the first time. When not working for alt.news I can be found conquering the uncharted territory of the Little Grand Canyon, canoeing about the Campus Lake, or reading Harry Potter.
